Voice actor agency YU-RIN PRO announced on June 3 that Natsumi Murakami will temporarily limit her activities due to vocal cord inflammation.
Murakami, who made her voice acting debut in 2015, is best known for her roles as Ako Saotome in Aikatsu Stars! and Ai Miyashita in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club.
According to the statement, Murakami had been experiencing voice issues for several days. After visiting a medical facility due to worsening symptoms, she was diagnosed with vocal cord inflammation. On her doctor’s advice, she has decided to temporarily reduce her workload, particularly activities that require heavy use of her voice.
The statement also assured fans that Murakami would continue to consult with her doctor and would return to work gradually to prevent any long-term impact on her career. Scheduled events in the near future will either be canceled or adjusted to allow her to participate at a reduced capacity.
Murakami also posted a message on her official X (formerly Twitter), apologizing for the concern caused to her fans and the people involved in her projects. She expressed gratitude for the support she has received and promised to focus on her treatment, aiming for a swift return to her usual activities.
