The upcoming TV anime The Fragrant Flower Blooms With Dignity has released its main trailer, giving fans a first listen to the opening and ending theme songs. The series is set to premiere in Japan on July 5, 2025.

The opening theme, “Manazashi wa Hikari” (“The Gaze is Light”), is performed by Tatsuya Kitani, known for his work on Bleach and JUJUTSU KAISEN. The ending theme, “Hare no Hini” (“On a Sunny Day”), is sung by Reira Ushio, who previously performed the theme for Food for the Soul.

In a message to fans, Kitani described the bond between the main characters, Rintaro and Kaoruko, as a warm light breaking through thick clouds. He said he tried to express that sense of innocent, joyful connection in the song’s lyrics.

Ushio shared that this was her first time writing a song inspired by a manga’s story. She described the romance as “small” and “pure white,” and said the characters now live inside her song. She hopes both the anime and her music will share the same “fragrance” with the audience.
