Renowned artist Akemi Takada, famous for her dreamy character designs in classics like Creamy Mami and Mobile Police Patlabor, is launching a two-part solo exhibition this month. The event marks the grand opening of EDITION88’s flagship store in Tokyo.
EDITION88, known for its innovative mixed printmaking technique called 88Graph, collaborates with artists to produce limited-edition prints. Takada’s exhibition, titled Angel Touch, will showcase her work from Creamy Mami, which also serves as the event’s poster image. New artwork will be featured on various goods, including art tiles, leather mirror compacts, and 88Graph prints.
The first part of the exhibition runs from June 21 to 29 and includes pieces from Mobile Police Patlabor. The second part will take place from July 17 to 27 and will highlight artwork and exclusive new merchandise from Kimagure Orange Road.
This exhibition offers fans a unique chance to experience Takada’s influential art across multiple beloved series.
