The highly anticipated BADGIRL anime is officially scheduled to premiere on July 7 at 24:00 JST, which is effectively midnight on July 8. A newly released trailer confirms the premiere date, previews the voice cast, and features the opening theme song, “Super Big Love!” by TENROGUN—a new music unit formed by Azusa Tachibana, Misato Matsuoka, Niina Hanamiya, and Miharu Hanai.

BADGIRL is directed by Joji Furuta (SHAMAN KING) and produced by Studio Bridge. The series composition is handled by Shoji Yonemura (Wave, Listen to Me!), with character designs by Yuki Morimoto (Boarding School Juliet) and music composed by Alisa Okehazama (ONIMAI: I’m Now Your Sister). The anime is based on the original manga by creator Nikumaru.
The story centers on Yu Yutani, a high-achieving first-year high school student known for her perfect attendance and good grades. Although admired by her teachers, Yu hides a secret: she is trying to act like a rebellious delinquent to gain the attention of Atori Mizutori, the strict head of the school’s student disciplinary committee—whom Yu deeply idolizes.
