The official website for the Clevatess anime adaptation has released its third trailer, confirming a premiere date of July 2, 2025. The first episode will run for one hour.
Ellie Goulding, the acclaimed English singer-songwriter, will perform the anime’s ending theme titled “Destiny.” The song was specially written for the series and can be partially heard in the new trailer. This marks Goulding’s first time performing a theme song for a Japanese anime. A message video from her is available on KADOKAWA’s official YouTube channel.
The website also introduced seven new voice cast members, accompanied by visuals and screenshots.
The anime is directed by Kiyotaka Taguchi (Ultraman Blazar) at Lay-duce studio. Keigo Koyanagi (Brave Bang Bravern!) handles series composition, Soichiro Sako (Buddy Daddies) is responsible for character designs, and Nobuaki Nobusawa (Mr. Villain’s Day Off) composes the music.
Clevatess is based on the manga by Yuji Iwahara (King of Thorn, Dimension W), which began publishing on the LINE Manga platform in August 2020. Seven volumes have been released in Japan, with Media Factory also publishing a six-volume compiled edition.
Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs. The story centers on one of the Lords of Dark Beasts, Clevatess, whose rule is shattered when he resurrects a hero he once defeated and adopts an orphaned humanoid baby. Together, they face an uncertain fate as the last hope to save a dying world.
