The official website for Uta no Prince-sama The Movie: TABOO NIGHT XXXX announced that a Dolby Cinema version of the film will begin screening at 10 theaters across Japan starting July 4, marking the ninth week since its release.
Dolby Cinema offers a premium movie experience by combining Dolby Vision projection with Dolby Atmos surround sound. The theaters also feature comfortable, reservable recliners, enhancing audience immersion. Fans can expect a richer experience of QUARTET NIGHT’s performances with this advanced audio-visual format.
This third concert film in the Uta no Prince-sama franchise opened in 135 theaters nationwide on May 9, 2025. It ranked eighth during the weekend of June 6–8.
The movie, centered on QUARTET NIGHT — a four-member senior group to the franchise’s main unit, ST☆RISH — has grossed approximately 795.5 million yen (about 5.49 million USD) with 464,973 admissions over 32 days, according to Animate Times.
In the coming weeks, theaters across Japan will host stage greeting events featuring the film’s voice actors, along with live screenings of these events, providing fans with unique opportunities to engage with the franchise.
