Plot Summary

The Gachiakuta manga, written by Kei Urana, is being released in English by Kodansha USA Publishing. The story follows Rudo, a young man living in the slums of a floating city, where the poor are oppressed by the affluent residents above. One day, Rudo is wrongfully accused of murder and sentenced to exile, cast off the city’s edge into the abyss below. The surface, however, is a wasteland filled with monstrous creatures formed from the discarded refuse of society.

To survive and seek vengeance, Rudo must harness new powers and join a group called the Cleaners, who battle the monstrous trash beasts in the depths of the Pit.

Fans of the anime and manga will be eagerly awaiting both the early screenings and the series’ premiere in Japan.
