The anime adaptation of the light novel is now set to premiere in October 2025 after a delay from its original April schedule.
Otakon 2025 will also host Sai Naekawa, the creator of the manga series This Monster Wants to Eat Me, along with the series’ editor, Takumi Kamemaru. The manga debuted in 2020 in Kadokawa’s Dengeki Maoh magazine and is published in English by Yen Press. An anime adaptation is also scheduled to premiere in October.
Otakon is one of the largest conventions in the U.S. dedicated to East Asian pop culture, and this year’s guest lineup highlights its continued focus on anime and manga creators.
