The highly anticipated anime adaptation of the manga Me & Roboco is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on April 18, 2025. Originally slated for a winter 2024 release, the film’s launch has been postponed to enhance its quality.
Creator Shuhei Miyazaki stated that the delay will enable the production team to deliver “ultra fighting miracle bomber high quality.”
Director Akitaro Daichi has also teased that audiences can expect the film to be “amazingly cute, cool, and guaranteed to make you laugh.”
Since its debut in Weekly Shonen Jump in July 2020, the Me & Roboco manga has garnered a strong following, leading to a TV anime adaptation that premiered in December 2022.
According to VIZ Media, the manga follows Bondo, an average elementary school student who dreams of owning a cute maid robot. However, the quirky robot that arrives at his doorstep is anything but ordinary.
