New Anime Princession Orchestra to Debut in April 2025

The official website for the upcoming original anime Princession Orchestra announced on Tuesday that the series will debut in April, airing on Sunday mornings for four consecutive cours (quarters of a year) on TV Tokyo and its six affiliated channels.

Set in the mysterious kingdom of Alicepia, the anime follows the story of the Alicepians, a joyful people whose peaceful lives are disrupted when monsters called Jamaock emerge to threaten their homeland. The series centers around the princesses, who remain determined to protect their world and hold onto the song in their hearts, despite the looming danger.

In a unique twist, Princession Orchestra will not use pre-recorded songs in its battle sequences. Instead, the voice cast will perform new renditions of the songs during each episode’s recording session.

The project is a collaboration between King Records, ARIA Entertainment’s new content production brand UNISON, and Takara Tomy, which is sponsoring the series. Akifumi Kaneko, known for his work on the Symphogear franchise, is credited with the original plan. The anime is directed by Shin Ōnuma (known for Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya and BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, So I’ll Max Out My Defense) at SILVER LINK. Manta Aisora, the creator of Nyaruko: Crawling with Love!, is overseeing the series’ scripts. Character designs are by Yukiko Akiyama (Yumeiro Pâtissière), based on Mari Shimazaki’s original designs (Luck & Logic, Bayonetta). The music is composed by Elements Garden, and the musical unit Orcheria will perform the opening theme song, “Zettai Utahime Sengen!” (I Declare Myself a Total Diva!).
