The upcoming anime White Magician Exiled From the Hero Party, Picked Up by an S-Rank Adventurer has released its first promotional video, offering fans a first look at the fantasy series set to debut in July. The video also previews the anime’s opening theme song, “Junjō de Are,” performed by Gakuto Kajiwara, who voices the main character, Lloyd.
In a new casting announcement, Marina Inoue will join the voice cast as Merlin, a key character in the story.

Based on the light novels written by Sora Suigetsu and illustrated by DeeCHA, the series was first published online via the Shousetsuka ni Narou platform in March 2020. The print version, released by the M Novels imprint, has reached seven volumes to date. A manga adaptation by Wasabi Mukuno has been serialized since May 2021 under the Monster Comics label.
Story Overview:
The anime follows Lloyd, a white mage who is unexpectedly expelled from the hero’s party. Soon after, he meets a group of S-rank adventurers searching for a magic user. Lloyd joins them and, through their journey, discovers a hidden strength—he’s far more than a support mage. As he embraces his new role, he gradually emerges as a powerful warrior, unaware of the full extent of his abilities.
