The highly anticipated anime compilation film JUJUTSU KAISEN: Hidden Inventory / Premature Death – The Movie will hit theaters across North America starting July 16, film distributor GKIDS announced. Alongside the release date, an official trailer and movie poster have also been unveiled.
The film is based on JUJUTSU KAISEN, the best-selling supernatural action manga by Gege Akutami. Produced by Toho animation and animated by studio MAPPA, the film adapts the fan-favorite “Hidden Inventory” and “Premature Death” arcs from the series.
Set before the events of the main storyline, the film explores the past of Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto, who were once close friends and classmates in high school. The story follows their mission to protect Riko Amanai, a young girl chosen to be the Star Plasma Vessel. As she becomes the target of a dangerous religious cult and rogue curse users, Gojo and Geto must navigate deadly threats. The mission not only tests their strength but also shapes the paths that ultimately divide them.
The JUJUTSU KAISEN TV anime is currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
