The 2025 Crunchyroll Anime Awards are just around the corner, and with a record 51 million votes cast, this year’s ceremony is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet. The event, set to stream live from Tokyo on May 25, will feature exciting musical performances and high-profile celebrity presenters.
Among the musical acts taking the stage are:
Creepy Nuts: The popular hip-hop duo, nominated for a 2025 Anime Award, will perform their hit songs “Otonoke” and “Bling-Bang-Bang-Born,” which are the opening themes for DAN DA DAN and MASHLE: Magic and Muscles, respectively.
FLOW: Celebrating the 20th anniversary of Eureka Seven, the band will perform their iconic song “DAYS.”
LiSA: Known for her powerful vocals, LiSA will perform her hit song “Gurenge,” the opening theme of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
The event will also feature a star-studded lineup of celebrity presenters, including:
- J Balvin, the GRAMMY-nominated global music superstar.
- Kacey Musgraves, the GRAMMY-winning singer and songwriter, who recently released “Anime Eyes” on her album Deeper Well.
- Zak Penn, screenwriter of Free Guy and Ready Player One.
The live-streamed ceremony will be hosted by renowned voice actor Sally Amaki (known for Tomo-chan Is a Girl! and Marvel Rivals) and entertainer Jon Kabira. The pre-show will begin at 5 p.m. JST, followed by the main event at 6 p.m. JST. Fans can watch the live stream on Crunchyroll’s Twitch and YouTube channels, as well as on SONY PICTURES CORE and the Sony Group Corp Global YouTube Channels.
This year’s ceremony will be available in nine languages: English, Japanese, Arabic, Brazilian-Portuguese, Castilian-Spanish, French, German, Hindi, and Italian.
