The new trailer for the second season of “Cuckoo Couple” released today revealed that the animation will start on July 8 at 23:00 JST. The trailer also introduces the opening theme song “Kimi ga Kutakedo” sung by asmi, the famous composer of “Food for the Soul”. In addition, the new key visual of the new season has also been revealed.
The first season of “Cuckoo Couple” was adapted from the manga by Miki Yoshikawa, directed by Hiroaki Akagi and Yoshiyuki Shirahata, produced by Shinsei Animation and SynergySP, and Rei Ishizuka was in charge of music production. The character design of this season is handled by Aya Takano, and the series composition is handled by Yasuhiro Nakanishi.
The second season is directed and composed by Masakazu Hishida (Masakazu Hishida) of “Viral Hit” fame under the pen name of Jou Aoba at Okuruto Noboru Studio. The new character designs for the second season will be handled by Kyoko Kon.
Crunchyroll has aired the first season in full, with all 24 episodes set to air between April and October 2022, and describes the storyline:
On her way to meet her biological parents, super student Nagi meets the arrogant Erika. Erika needs a favor.
