A television anime adaptation of Mika Yamamori’s popular romance manga In the Clear Moonlit Dusk has been officially announced. The series is set to premiere in January 2026, with the first key visual and details about the main cast and staff revealed.
The anime will be directed by Yusuke Maruyama, known for his work on Lycoris Recoil, with Ayumu Hisao (Love of Kill) handling series composition. Yuki Fukuda (Insomniacs After School) will design the characters, while Tsubasa Ito (Skeleton Knight in Another World) will compose the music. The series is being produced by East Fish Studio.
Rei Ichinomiya will voice the lead role of Yoi Takiguchi, while Ryota Suzuki will play Kohaku Ichimura.
Originally serialized in Dessert magazine in July 2020, the manga is licensed in English by Kodansha USA. The story follows Yoi Takiguchi, a tall, deep-voiced, and strikingly handsome girl who is often mistaken for a boy. Nicknamed “Prince” by her peers, Yoi is used to being admired from afar—until she meets Ichimura, a boy who truly sees her for who she is. As their connection deepens, the story explores a heartfelt and unconventional high school romance between two “princes.”
The anime aims to bring the emotional charm and unique character dynamics of the manga to a wider audience when it airs next year.
