Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is coming to Anime Expo 2025, with special plans for the event, including a screening of the Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- theatrical feature. Bandai Namco Filmworks has announced that the screening will be accompanied by a talk session featuring key staff from the anime.
The event will take place on Thursday, July 3, at the Peacock Theater during AX 2025. After the screening, the session will include director Kazuya Tsurumaki, series supervisor and screenplay writer Yoji Enokido, voice actor Tomoyo Kurosawa (Amate Yuzuriha, also known as MACHU), and Gundam executive producer Naohiro Ogata. The panel will conclude with a live music performance.
Following Anime Expo, GQuuuuuuX will also be featured at Japan Expo 2025, with a similar screening and talk session. This panel will include Tsurumaki and Enokido, as well as design works and storyboard artist Mahiro Maeda.
Anime Expo 2025 will be held from July 3-6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in California, while Japan Expo 2025 will take place at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center in Paris, France, during the same dates.
Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is currently streaming on Amazon Prime. The series follows Amate Yuzuriha, a high school girl living peacefully in a space colony. She becomes involved in an illegal mobile suit dueling competition called “Clan Battle” after meeting a mysterious girl named Nyan. Using the entry name “Machu,” Amate enters the high-stakes world of mobile suit dueling. Meanwhile, a mysterious Gundam and its pilot, a boy named Shuji, are hunted by both the space military and the police, signaling the dawn of a new era.
