The official website for Fushigi no Kuni de Alice to -Dive in Wonderland- (“With Alice in Wonderland -Dive in Wonderland-“), an upcoming theatrical anime film based on Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, has revealed that Japanese pop band SEKAI NO OWARI will provide the movie’s theme song, “Zukan” (“Visual Dictionary”). The release also includes a new main trailer featuring the track.
SEKAI NO OWARI’s Contribution
Saori, the pianist of SEKAI NO OWARI, penned the lyrics for “Zukan” and shared her thoughts about the song on the website and X (formerly Twitter). She explained, “The protagonist of Fushigi no Kuni de Alice to is a girl who isn’t living the life she imagined. I wanted to write lyrics that could vividly express her challenges, so I thought of creatures struggling in unsuitable environments. I hope this song will make the difficult days feel a little more charming.”
Additional Voice Cast Revealed
The film also announced four additional voice cast members. Subaru Kimura (Gian in Doraemon) will voice Tweedledum, while Ayumu Murase (Shoyo Hinata in Haikyuu!!) will voice Tweedledee. Yuki Ono (Josuke Higashikata in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) will voice Yamane and Buta-san, among others. Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba) will voice a character in the form of an apple, though specific details about this role are yet to be revealed.
Film Details and Release Date
Fushigi no Kuni de Alice to -Dive in Wonderland- will premiere in Japan on August 29, 2025. The film marks the first theatrical anime adaptation in Japan inspired by Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, first published in 1865.

The anime is directed by Toshiya Shinohara (The Aquatope on White Sand), with a screenplay by Yuko Kakihara (Dragon Ball DAIMA series composition). P.A. WORKS handles the animation production.

Synopsis
Rise Azumino is a university student who feels lost in life. One day, after receiving an invitation letter from her late grandmother, she finds herself transported to “Wonderland,” where she meets Alice. Together, they journey through this strange world, encountering iconic characters like the Queen of Hearts, the Cheshire Cat, and the Mad Hatter. As the chaos of Wonderland unfolds around her, Rise must decide what kind of future she will choose in this wild adventure.
