Fans of the given anime series have something special to look forward to this month. Crunchyroll has announced that given The Double Album: Hiiragi mix & To the Sea, a double feature of two given anime films, will be screened in select U.S. theaters for one night only on June 16. Tickets are now on sale.
The theatrical release includes given The Movie: Hiiragi mix and given The Movie: To the Sea. Notably, To the Sea will make its theater debut a full week before it becomes available to stream on Crunchyroll.
The full feature has a combined runtime of 2 hours and 31 minutes. Below are brief synopses of the two included films:
In Hiiragi mix, after Ritsuka Uenoyama hears Mafuyu Sato sing, he invites him to join his band. Although given fails their audition for a major festival in Shibuya, their music continues to attract attention. Meanwhile, Mafuyu’s childhood friends, Shizusumi Yagi and Hiiragi Kashima, prepare to debut their band “syh.” When they lose a guitarist, Hiiragi asks Ritsuka to perform with them at their big show.
In To the Sea, Mafuyu starts to question whether he should continue as given’s vocalist. He turns down an invitation from Ritsuka to attend a concert in Shibuya. But after a chance meeting with an old friend, Mafuyu begins to reconsider his role in the band and his connection to music.
Crunchyroll currently streams the given TV anime series in both Japanese with English subtitles and in English dub. The platform also offers given The Movie, given – on the other hand, and given The Movie: Hiiragi mix.
