Uniqlo has announced the return of its popular anime collection, featuring redesigned graphics from two iconic sci-fi series: Evangelion and Ghost in the Shell.
The updated collection, set for release in mid-May 2025, will include graphic t-shirts inspired by Evangelion and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. Both series will be represented on black and white t-shirts featuring robot artwork, character designs, and logos. The shirts will be priced at 1,990 yen (around $13 USD) and available in sizes ranging from XS to 4XL.
Uniqlo states that the new designs are “carefully selected” from previous collections and reworked to fit modern tastes. The shirts will first be available on Uniqlo’s Japanese website. International releases have been confirmed for the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and the Czech Republic, though there is no word yet on a release in the U.S.
This collection follows the recent launch of a 45th-anniversary Gundam collection, which also features t-shirts in black and white with bold art from the series. Uniqlo worked with Gundam’s original mecha designer, Kunio Okawara, for the new designs. In addition, a Pokémon collection inspired by characters such as Meowth, Eevee, and Piplup is set for release this spring, with fans hoping for future U.S. availability.
