Catch Me at the Ballpark!, an anime that highlights the lively atmosphere of a baseball game, has unveiled a creditless version of its opening movie. Set to the upbeat song “Hurray!!” by GENIC, the opening theme celebrates not only the players but also the fans, announcers, stadium guards, and beer girls who make a live game unforgettable.
The anime is based on the manga by Tatsuro Suga and is directed by Junichi Kitamura (Fluffy Paradise) at studio EMT Squared. The series’ composition is written by Shigeru Murakoshi (I Parry Everything), with character designs by Fumio Iida and music by MONACA (Shangri-La Frontier). Catch Me at the Ballpark! premiered in Japan on April 2.
Crunchyroll is currently streaming the series as part of its spring anime season. Here’s the show’s description:
“Murata, weary from his tiring job, finds refuge at a nearby baseball stadium. While the games excite him, it’s Ruriko, the tough gyaru who serves beer with a cold attitude but secretly has a warm heart, who draws him back again and again. As her first regular, Murata uncovers the sweet side of her frosty demeanor. Their heartwarming and humorous interactions bring light to the ballpark—and maybe even their hearts.”
Fans can now enjoy the creditless opening, showcasing the vibrant characters and setting of Catch Me at the Ballpark! as it brings the charm of the game to life.
