The anime adaptation of The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest has unveiled a new teaser visual featuring the character Yorha, a pivotal figure in the story. This marks the second of four monthly teaser visuals leading up to the series’ premiere in October 2025.
The anime is based on the fantasy light novel series written by Alto and illustrated by Yuunagi. It follows Alec Yugret, a court magician who, after being dismissed for his perceived weakness, embarks on a journey to prove the strength of support magic. Reuniting with his former party member, Yorha, Alec aims to forge a new legend in the royal dungeons.
The production team includes director Ken Takahashi, assistant director Masamune Hirata, series composer Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, character designer and chief animation director Yoko Sato, and animation production by Studio Gekkou. The music is composed by Diosta and High Speed Boy.
The anime adaptation follows the success of the original light novel series, which began serialization in October 2020 and has been published under Kodansha’s Ranobe Books imprint since August 2021. A manga adaptation illustrated by Yuki Monji began serialization in July 2021 and has been compiled into 15 volumes as of April 2025.
