The highly anticipated next chapter of the Oshi no Ko anime won’t be released until 2026, but fans can enjoy a fresh spring visual featuring Mem-cho surrounded by a vibrant field of flowers.
The anime, based on the manga by Aka Akasaka (known for Kaguya-sama: Love is War) and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari (Scum’s Wish), is directed by Daisuke Hiramaki (Asteroid in Love) at Doga Kobo studio. The series features Jin Tanaka on scriptwriting, Kanna Hirayama on character design, and Takuro Iga composing the music.
Manga Plus offers the official English version of the manga and summarizes the story:
“In the world of showbiz, lies are weapons.” Goro, an OB-GYN working in a rural town, leads a life far removed from the entertainment industry. Meanwhile, his favorite idol, Ai Hoshino, is rising to fame. The two meet in the most unexpected way, setting off a chain of events that will change their lives forever. This gripping series offers a fresh look at the entertainment industry, thanks to the creative collaboration of Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari.
