The upcoming TV anime BADGIRL has released a new character trailer, spotlighting the main character Yu Yutani, voiced by Azusa Tachibana, and her best friend Suzu Suzukaze, voiced by Misato Matsuoka.
The trailer features the voice unit Tenrogun performing the song “Tsuppari High School Rock’n Roll Toukouhen” (“Delinquent High School Rock’n Roll Going to School Edition”). The anime is set to air in Japan starting July 2025.
BADGIRL is based on the manga series by Nikumaru, serialized in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine. The TV anime is directed by Jouji Furuta at animation studio Bridge. Shoji Yonemura is handling the series composition, while Yuki Morimoto is in charge of character designs, and Alisa Okehazama is composing the music.
The story follows Yu Yutani, a first-year high school student known for her perfect attendance and excellent grades. Loved by her teachers, Yu, despite her friendly nature, struggles to create a “delinquent” image to catch the attention of Atori Mizutori, the head of the school’s student disciplinary committee, whom she admires deeply.
