The upcoming anime adaptation of Touring After the Apocalypse, based on Sakae Saito’s post-apocalyptic slice-of-life manga, will premiere in Japan in October 2025.
The release date was announced during a special livestream event titled “Departure Ceremony,” which aired on May 27. Lead voice actors Konomi Itagaki (voicing Youko) and Miyu Tomita (voicing Airi) shared the news during the broadcast. The anime project was first revealed in February 2025.
The announcement was also confirmed on the anime’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, as well as by manga creator Sakae Saito.
Touring After the Apocalypse has been serialized in Dengeki Maoh magazine since September 2020. The manga currently has seven compiled volumes. Saito is also known for the Super Cub Rei spin-off. Yen Press publishes the official English version of the manga.
The story follows two girls traveling through the ruins of post-apocalyptic Japan. Despite the collapse of civilization, they embark on a sightseeing journey, visiting once-popular tourist spots like the hot springs of Hakone and Tokyo Big Sight—now empty, but still full of wonder.
