The Kingdom anime series has officially announced the premiere of its sixth season, set to air in October 2025. This upcoming season will focus on the intense conflict between the Qin and Zhao armies. A new teaser visual was revealed, featuring the tagline, “The Inheritor of Qi Wang’s Spear.”
Based on the manga by Yasuhisa Hara, the anime will continue under the direction of Kenichi Imaizumi, with Pierrot and Studio Signpost handling animation production. The series will also feature Noboru Takagi as the head of series composition, Hisashi Abe as the character designer, and music by Hiroyuki Sawano and KOHTA YAMAMOTO. Additional key staff include Junichi Higashi as art director, Miyuki Abe as color designer, Hiroki Takano as director of photography, Keisuke Yanagi as editor, and Kazuzo Hamano as sound director.
Crunchyroll currently streams the first five seasons of the series, which follows the journey of a nameless boy, Xin, and a young king, Zheng, as they navigate a war-torn nation. Xin rises through the ranks to become a Great General, while Zheng aims to unite the warring states under the Qin banner. Their paths intertwine, leading to an epic transformation of history.
