Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine announced in its 25th issue on Thursday that Forbidden Shibukawa’s gag comedy manga Snack Basue will come to an end in the magazine’s next issue, set to be published on May 29.
The series is set in a quirky bar located in the North 24th neighborhood of Sapporo, just five train stops from the city’s busy Susukino district. The story follows the lives of the bar’s owner, the junior proprietor, and a cast of eccentric regulars and visitors as they share bizarre and often humorous stories.
Snack Basue first debuted in Weekly Young Jump in 2017. Shueisha released the manga’s 17th compiled volume on May 19.
The manga was also adapted into a television anime, which premiered in January 2024. The series was streamed by Crunchyroll as it aired in Japan.
