The Haigakura anime series will restart its broadcast from Episode 1 on July 3, 2025, following a production delay that interrupted the original run after Episode 7. A new trailer was released alongside the announcement. The series will resume with Episode 8 on August 21.
The anime is produced by Studio Typhoon Graphics and directed by Junichi Yamamoto. The core creative team also includes Yuu Murai for series composition, Masaki Sato as character designer, and Yuhki Kurihara as the composer.
Haigakura is based on the manga by Shinobu Takayama, which originally ran in Ichijinsha’s Comic Zero Sum WARD from 2008 to 2015 before moving to Zero-Sum Online, where it continues to be serialized.
Story Synopsis:
The series follows Ichiyo, a kashikan (god hunter), and his Divine Companion Tenko, as they journey through a crumbling world to track down one of four divine pillars who have abandoned their duties. These pillars—gods once tasked with maintaining the balance of the world—have fled, leaving chaos in their wake. With the world in danger, Ichiyo sets out not only to fulfill his role but also to pursue a deeply personal quest to recover lost memories and family ties.
Haigakura blends myth, adventure, and emotional depth as Ichiyo and Tenko face divine threats, unravel ancient mysteries, and fight to restore balance before the world collapses.
