The original bowling-themed anime Turkey! has revealed its television premiere date and released its first promotional video. The anime is set to debut on July 8 at 25:29 (effectively 1:29 a.m. on July 9) on NTV. It will then air on BS NTV on July 10 and TV Shinshu on July 12. A global premiere is also planned for July.The promo video features the opening theme song “Hyakunichisou,” performed by the anime’s five main voice cast members under the name “Ikkokukan High School Bowling Club, Nagano Prefecture.” The song was composed and written by Yūho Kitazawa of Q.I.S.

Story Summary
Set in Chikuma City in Nagano Prefecture, Turkey! follows Mai, a talented bowler known as “a genius who never wins.” She joins the Ikkokukan High School Bowling Club alongside teammates Rina, Sayuri, Nozomi, and Nanase. Together, they aim for victory while facing personal struggles and setbacks.
Pony Canyon describes the series as “a story that is mysterious, precious, bittersweet, and irreplaceable—more than just fun.” The title “Turkey” refers to a bowling term for scoring three consecutive strikes.
This anime captures the emotional highs and lows of high school competition and friendship during one unforgettable summer.
