FILA has teamed up once again with Neon Genesis Evangelion to release a new line of sneakers celebrating the anime’s 30th anniversary. This marks the second collaboration between the Italian sportswear brand and Evangelion-themed fashion label Radio Eva, following a popular 2021 collection.
The new lineup includes three limited-edition sneaker models, each inspired by one of the iconic Evangelion units—Unit 01, Unit 02, and Unit 00—from the original 1995 anime. The designs draw on the signature colors and aesthetic details of the series’ central mecha and their pilots, offering fans a bold way to express their allegiance.
- Unit 01 sneakers feature the distinctive purple and green palette of Shinji Ikari’s Eva, accented with neon highlights on a sleek black base.
- Unit 02, piloted by Asuka Langley Sohryu, is represented with bold red tones and a speckled design on white panels, capturing her fiery personality.
- Unit 00, associated with Rei Ayanami, is styled in clean white with yellow accents and blue laces, reflecting a minimalist and prototype-inspired look.
The sneakers maintain FILA’s signature athletic streetwear silhouette, complete with reinforced toe boxes, cushioned soles, and detailed Evangelion branding. Each pair is priced at 19,800 yen (approximately USD $139).
This release comes at a fitting time for the franchise, which remains a global pop culture phenomenon. With the Rebuild of Evangelion film series recently completed and the original series marking three decades since its debut, interest in the brand is as strong as ever.
The new Evangelion x FILA sneakers are available for international purchase through the anime’s official online store, with global shipping provided via the Buyee service.
