The upcoming anime Otherworldly Munchkin: Let’s Speedrun the Dungeon with Only 1 HP! is officially set to debut in October. Based on the original work by Yuu Shimizu and illustrated by Makoto Aogiri, the anime’s release was announced alongside a new promotional video, key visual, and the main voice cast.

Story Summary
According to Kodansha USA, the story centers on 16-year-old Yukito Kirihara, who lives with his 14-year-old sister, Sana. When an ogre suddenly appears outside their window to take Sana, Yukito sacrifices himself to protect her and is killed. He is then offered reincarnation by a mysterious woman, who hands him a magical character sheet.
Yukito is shocked to find Sana listed in the same mysterious book, prompting him to embark on a dangerous quest to save her. But there’s one catch—he only has 1 HP to complete his journey.
The mix of high stakes, emotional bonds, and game-inspired mechanics promises an intense and fast-paced fantasy adventure this fall.
