On May 20, the official X account (formerly Twitter) for the I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too anime announced that the combined print and digital circulation of Miku’s original light novel series and its manga adaptation has now exceeded 4 million copies.
This milestone was announced on the same day the series released its 18th novel volume in Japan. The series had previously reached 3 million copies in October 2023, meaning it has added 1 million more copies in just seven months.
Author Miku expressed his gratitude in a post on X, writing:
“Thanks to all of you who have always read my books, the ‘Iseleve’ series has printed more than 4 million copies in total. Thank you very much. I hope you will continue to enjoy this series.”
About the Series
The story was first serialized online on Kakuyomu in March 2017 before being picked up for print by Fujimi Shobo in December 2018. The franchise currently includes:
- 18 volumes in the main light novel series
- 5 volumes of the Girls Side spin-off
- 1 volume of the Kaori Hojo spin-off
- 6 volumes of the manga adaptation, illustrated by Kazuomi Mitatogawa
Anime Adaptation
The light novel was adapted into a 13-episode TV anime produced by Millepensee, which aired from April to June 2023. The series is available to stream on Crunchyroll, and a TV special episode is also in development.
